Keep Our Students Safe With Concealed Carry Training

Dr. Ignatius Piazza is the founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the nation's largest firearms training school, and he has given plenty of thought to the problem of school shootings, and he has an idea that will shock many, impress more and handle the problem: concealed carry training. Many would say that obviously the founder of America's largest gun training school would think of gun training as the answer, but Dr. Piazza has a solid argument to back up his idea.

First off is the case of precedent. According to Dr. Piazza, who was interviewed by many magazines and newspapers, including El Pais Semenal, a Spanish periodical, Israel was confronted with the same problem in the 70's as America is now: school shootings. Israeli officials considered arming their teachers, and met with a large amount of protest. But the Israelis went with the course of action that they felt would ameliorate the situation: training and arming of the teachers. Sure enough, shortly after the project went into effect, the problems of shooters on school campuses ended.

Second is the case of responsibility. Dr. Ignatius Piazza firmly believes that firearms training and gun training acts to make the user more effective and more responsible. Training like concealed carry training especially can show a citizen just how important it is to never underestimate the power they hold in their hands when holding a firearm. According to Front Sight and Dr. Piazza, guns are not scary, and they don't kill people. Concealed carry training can enable anyone and everyone to keep themselves and those around them safe.

Dr. Piazza is convinced that giving concealed carry training, an intensive form of defensive handgun training, is the key to ending school shootings across America. History and common sense are on his side - are you?
